Customer Reviews

I own one, so here are the details after two years3
i've had mine for over two years. Here is what you need to know. It will pretty well need a dedicted 12 volt circuit to run properly, it uses a lot of amps. This took me a long time to figure out but once i did, it made a world of difference. Nothing worse then already pulling the black (crap) release, and the pump will not pump. So a good 20 amp dedicated with good wire is a must.

Second thing is never run it for very long, the specs say 15 seconds, and by God, they are right. I burned mine out yesterday. But i accept the blame, i did not go back and read the instructions about that, i was to excited about finally having it work the way i expected it to, and i must have burned it out.

It also leaks on the connections, it seems the o ring should have been a little fatter so it would make a better seal when you clamp it on. Nothing worse then having leakage. Now i have to find a way to get my motor rebuilt, it cost to much to just replace it. I gave it three stars, because running it over 15 seconds i accept that as my responsibility, but i also think a motor should be able to run for hours, not seconds.

I almost forgot, don't expect it to pump all the way to the house. You have to move the motorhome next to the house, otherwise it will not be able to pump. I tried using a 50 foot 3/4 inch hose, no dice, to far to pump. But my drain out is uphill a little, about 4 feet.

If it could run until the tank was empty, without having to flip the switch off, i would give it 4 stars. If it didn't leak everytime, i would give it 5 stars. But dead after two years, and leaks, 3 stars.

I honestly think it's a wonderful system, and will use mine again if i can get the motor rebuilt without having to give up one of my kids.

Works Great5
I have had mine for about 4 months now and use it once a week to empty all my tanks. I am pumping 80' with 3/4" water hose with approx. one foot lift over the 80'section of hose. I am pumping to a clean-out plug at my daughters house. I checked the pump at this distance running clean water through it to start with to see how it would pump and it did a great job using the 3/4 hose. So I put it through the test on a full black water tank and it worked great. I empty the black water tank first and rinse it several times before I open the gray water tanks and then rinse them several times. Motor runs great without any problems. It has a 20 amp. fuse built into the control handle so I have mine straight wired from the battery. I can empty all my tanks and rinse them several times with no problem. I would say that if you are going to run a longer distance than 100' I would use a 1" hose to keep pressure down. I went for the portable one because I use it on a fifth wheel and my clean-out is not in an inclosed area. It is very easy to hook up and use and solves my problem so I don't have to go to a dump station. I would recommend this product highly to anyone that has the same situation.

HAVEN'T ORDERED YET3
The description needs to have what kind of power (AC or DC) as well as an "ASK THE SELLER A QUESTION" BOX. I haven't ordered it yet as I'm trying to figure out the power and what size garden hose (3/4 or 5/8 OR WHAT?) as the product description is too brief.
