| "Wireless routers" are actually wired routers plus wireless access points in a single product. "Modem" routers add a DSL or cable modem. Some vendors provide "friendly" setup software. Third party software is available to make setting up a home network easier and to take advantage of all available security features. Security features can include NAT and SPI firewalls (SPI is better), WEP and WPA security (WPA is better), parental controls (content filters), and more.
