You won't believe how good it is!5
I am a born sceptic. I also have been obsessed with food for my entire adult life. When I am going to eat, what I am going to eat, where I am going to eat, if there will be enough food left by the time I get to the front of the line... Not a very nice way to live. This book HAS CHANGED MY LIFE! So far, everything she has said has been true. Everything that she said would happen, has happened. And it's not hard to do at all! Sure, the initial adjustment to serving a meal with no potatoes or bread is a little odd, but you get over it pretty fast. Somehow, this diet just clicked with me. After reading her book, I have at least 6 more reasons to eat this way than just to lose weight. That's not even my focus any more! She explained all the different approaches of all these other authors and shows you how to pick and choose which aspects of which approaches will work best for you. It's remarkably easy to read, too!

I used this book along with Lauri's Lo-Carb Cookbook and the Greg Smithey "Easy Toning" tape, and I lost 10 pounds the first week and, I don't know if my initial measurement was wrong or what, but I lost and INCH off my waist! I have ordered the rest of Mr. Smithey's "Easy" videos now, and use Lauri's cookbook everyday. I have not yet found a recipe I or my husband didn't like.

I hope you find something that works for you. But for my money, this was the best that was out there for me.

I bought this book for my husband. He would starve on lowfat diets and never seem to lose much weight. We read this and it helped us create our own low-carb diet that would work for him - a month into it he is 15lbs lighter and most importantly to him is that he has never had so much energy. I get tired of people saying how I am going to kill him with this high fat eating - but I don't call a lean piece of meat with vegetables or veggies and dip for a snack as bad nutrition - not all diets are for everyone but for the people that this kind of diet works for it is god send - which is more deadly being 100lbs overweight or eating meat and veggies? You decide- Thanks Dana your book is great.

The Only Way To Lose5
I have been on weight loss diets almost all of my life! I've lost and gained over 500 pounds in my lifetime. This will no longer be the case for me now that I have read Dana Carpender's book "How I Gave Up My Low Fat Diet And Lost Forty Pounds" and am following her plan! I am now at the lowest weight I have been in ten years and it was so easy to attain this weight loss. How can you call this program a diet? I've eaten steak, chicken, veggies, cheese and occassionally Peanut M&M's, ice cream and chocolate mousse! This program is not a starvation plan. I have always felt so satisfied and healthy and have so much energy! Best of all I know I will be able to stay on this food program for the rest of my life! If you are tired of the diet Yo-yo I hightly recommend Dana's book. It's a fun, fast paced, easy read and it will be the last diet book you'll ever need to buy!
