Theater Of Blood/MadHouse (Midnite Movies Double Feature)Theater Of Blood/MadHouse (Midnite Movies Double Feature)
Buy new: $7.99 / Used from: $4.83
THEATER OF BLOOD: Price revels in an (over) performance of Shakespeare as an actor taking revenge on the critics who never gave him a good review. Along with Laura, Price considered it one of his finest films. Pure camp, and a lot of fun. Pick up this disc and also get MADHOUSE, an interesting but flawed pairing with the distinguished Peter Cushing.
House of WaxHouse of Wax
Buy new: $9.99 / Used from: $4.49
The film that may have cemented Price's future in horror films. A classic!
The Abominable Dr. Phibes/Dr. Phibes Rises Again! The Abominable Dr. Phibes/Dr. Phibes Rises Again!

Dr. Phibes and its sequel are pure camp, and loads of fun!
The Fall of the House of Usher /The Pit and the PendulumThe Fall of the House of Usher /The Pit and the Pendulum
Buy new: $8.49 / Used from: $4.98
Roger Corman's work with Vincent Price on adaptations of Poe (written by the master, Richard Matheson) are some of the finest films ever to be made so cheaply.FALL OF THE HOUSE OF USHER and PIT AND THE PENDULUM on the same disc are a must-have, if only for Barbara Steele's gaze as the last shot of the latter before credits roll.
Witchfinder GeneralWitchfinder General
Buy new: $11.99 / Used from: $5.48
Michael Reeves was a disturbed director who managed to make a statement about brutality and violence in this hard to watch, but ultimately beautiful film about corruption, lust, greed, paranoia and sadism. Watch it just for the English countryside, or for Price playing it straight.
The Masque of the Red Death / The Premature BurialThe Masque of the Red Death / The Premature Burial
Buy new: $11.99 / Used from: $4.24
MASQUE OF THE RED DEATH is Corman at his most stylish (while still within budget), and Price at the top of his form as the too confident Prince Prospero unable to keep death from his door. Of course, Matheson didn't write the script, and it shows. But Corman approached Bergman at times. No joke! This disc is paired with PREMATURE BURIAL. No Price. Ray Milland. Not bad. Just not Price.
The Tomb of Ligeia / An Evening of Edgar Allan PoeThe Tomb of Ligeia / An Evening of Edgar Allan Poe
Buy new: $13.49 / Used from: $6.98
While TOMB OF LIGEIA may be solid Corman fare with Price as gloomy Verden Fell on location at he ruins of Swaffham Priory in the county of Norfolk in East Anglia (as opppossed to the sound stages Corman was better known for), the real treat here is an EVENING WITH EDGAR ALLEN POE -- something Poe and Price fans will adore. Evermore.
Edward Scissorhands (Widescreen Anniversary Edition)Edward Scissorhands (Widescreen Anniversary Edition)
Buy new: $9.99 / Used from: $5.44
Tim Burton resurrects Price for a whole new generation of movie-goers, and the role of Inventor is both campy and sweet. Although he would go on to do voice overs and a few other projects, EDWARD SCISSORHANDS may very well be Price's last great performance.
The Ten Commandments (50th Anniversary Collection)The Ten Commandments (50th Anniversary Collection)

Whole else but Price could so convincingly play the saidistic slave driver Baka? Overshadowed, naturally, by Heston and the special effects, it is Price, at least in my book, that keeps the pace going with whip and wit in hand in this Cecil B. DeMille classic. Guess I just have a thing for bad guys.
