Editorial Review
Made just for preschoolers and early elementary students, Leap 1 Books pack lots of lessons into one engaging, interactive story. Here, kids learn about seven of the most popular stories from the Bible's Old Testament--while also working on reading and pronunciation skills, identifying characters, themes, and settings, and developing memory retention. Just stick the included book cartridge into a LeapPad, put the book in place, and, with a parent's guidance, the LeapPad takes care of the rest. This book works with all LeapPads except the My First LeapPad Book. --Diane Beall

We can't wait for the new testament version!5
My 4 year old has the zondervan NIrV version of this bible, so when I saw they made it into a leap pad game, with all his favorite old Testament stories (Adam and eve, Noah and the ark, Moses, Joseph and the well, David and Goliath, Jonah and the big fish), we just had to get it for Christmas. It has great games on each page teaching them the true false concept, asking questions like: "Is it true that Jonah wanted to go to Ninevah? Yes or no?" The last page is a trivia game about all the stories, and it is set up like the game Hollywood Squares. I hope they make a new testament version!!!

fun book5
since I read my bible book with the audio cd i didn't understand the old testment very well and I went to meijer to buy the amazing bible story and i understand it now ive learn how god created things in seven days i learn about adam and eve that disobey god's commands ive learn noahs ark and he took his friends two by two and his family into the ark cause its was going to rain for 40 days and 40 nights cause everybody was sinful and mean and God decided to send a flood to start over again but there was one good man named noah he followed God's ways and God told to noah build an ark and every living thing into the ark finally the rain stopped and the ark landed on a mountain noah sent a dove to search for dry land the dove returned with an olive leaf in its beak noah and his family and all the animals came out of the ark and celebrated God sent a rainbow as a sign of his covenant to never again sennd such a flood. and i learn about joseph and the his coat Jacob adored his son joseph he made joseph a beautiful robe with amny colors that made joseph's brothers jealous one day joseph's brothers took his robe and threw him into the well later they sold joseph to traders who took him to egypt then told their father that joseph had been eaten my a while animal In egypt joseph worked hard for the pharaoh and became a governor his job was to store all the grain when famine struck the land joseph's brother traveled to egypt to buy some grain they didn't recognize joseph he tested his brother to see if they changed and he saw that his brother wasn't mean anymore and he said that he was joseph his brother and his brother's were afraid and joseph forgave them and i learn about moses and he talk to God from the burning bush and to talk pharaoh to let the israelites go and pharoah wouldn't let them go and God sent 10 terribles plagues to conivince pharoah to his people go and he finally let them go

GREAT STORIES-NEED FRIENDLIER FACES3
I certainly love the leapfrog line of stories, and felt a book on Bible stories would be perfect for my 3 1/2 year old. I have to admit, though, that my husband and I thought the illustrations were a bit on the scarier side. We're going to stick to the friendlier looking faces (same stories) in his other childrens Bible books for now.
