Customer Reviews
Excellent Overview of Dyadic Developmental Psychotherapy
This collection of essays offers a clearly articulated, very helpful overview of Dyadic Developmental Psychotherapy (DDP), a solid family systems approach to working with children and families who are struggling with attachment and trauma issues. Highly recommended from both a theoretical and practical perspective!
Outstanding book about an Evidence-based, effective, and empirically validated treatment
I really enjoyed reading this book. I work with foster and adoptive families and this book is full of very useful material that I've been able to use to help those I work with. This approach, Dyadic Developmental Psychotherapy, which is an empirically validated, effective, and evidence-base method is just great. The book details the basis of this approach and provides many practical examples. The chapters by parents are great for parents to read. I especially liked the analyzed transcript of a session; it gave me a good picture of what this approach looks like.

good quality content, poor quality binding
I like the book so far, and think this will be helpful for our family. However, many pages have fallen from binding since receiving this book by mail less than 24 hours ago.
