Buy new: $233.61 / Used from: $154.97 I know, I know, this is pricey, but this teaches you proper pronounciation and basic to intermediate Japanese conversation--proper accent and all... If you're not sure if this will work for you, get the introductory package first (I will list it here too). I recommend this program HIGHLY! It's not boring and all you have to do is listen to it 30 minutes a day.

Yet another one of those pricey softwares but this is very good too as it teaches you more vocabulary than Pimsleur. However, if you have to choose between Rosetta Stone and Pimsleur, I'd say Pimsleur. But if you have the moolah to spend, get this too. (Oh, and look -- it works on both Windows and Mac!)
