Dear Friend,

It was twenty - five years ago when Harrison House agreed to publish Prayers That Avail Much. The original book was a compliation of prayers that I wrote for my marriage and family situations, and included prayers composed by members of a prayer group that I was conducting. The "little yellow book" turned up in unusual places bringing hope, salvation, healing and deliverance to people who were looking for answers.

Several books of Scriptural prayers have been written over the years. Thousands have learned to go before the Throne of Grace with confidence and boldness. They learned to offer their petitions to the Father with Thansgiving, and the testimonies we receive continue to come in.

A special thanks to over three million readers who buy and give these books to others because these prayers are practical and work able. I am grateful to our publisher, the churches and book stores who continue to believe in the value of these books, which are proven, effective spiritual tools for prayer.

About the Author
Germaine Griffin Copeland, founder and president of Word Ministries, Inc., is the author of the Prayers That Avail Much family of books. Her writings provide scriptural prayer instruction to help you pray more effectively for those things that concern you and your family and for other prayer assignments. Her teachings on prayer, the personal growth on the intercessor, emotional healing and related subjects have brought understanding, hope, healing, and liberty to the discouraged and emotionally wounded. She is a woman of prayer and praise whose highest form of worship is the study of God's Word. Her greatest desire is to know God. Word Ministries, Inc. is a prayer and teaching ministry. Germaine believes that God called her to teach the practical application of the Word of Truth for successful victorious living. After years of searching diligently for truth and trying again and again to come out of depression, she decided that she was a mistake. Germaine is the daughter of the late Reverend A.H. and Donnis Brock Griffin. She and her husband, Everette, have four children, and their prayer assignments increase as grandchildren and great-grandchildren are born. Germaine and Everette reside in Roswell, a suburb of Atlanta, Georgia.

To Receive Jesus as Savior and Lord

Father, it is written in Your Word that if I confess with my mouth that Jesus is Lord and believe in my heart that You have raised Him from the dead, I shall be saved. Therefore, Father, I confess that Jesus is my Lord. I make Him Lord of my life right now. I believe in my heart that You raised Jesus from the dead. I renounce my past life with Satan and close the door to any of his devices.

I thank You for forgiving me of all my sin. Jesus is my Lord, and I am a new creation. Old things have passed away; now all things become new in Jesus’ name. Amen.

Pray the Word!
What is so powerful about this little prayer book is that it brings together scriptures on a particular issue, and helps me to pray them. I believe praying God's Word out loud is very powerful and causes it to become a living Word in my life, which won't come back void.

Just to re-emphasize, these prayers are right out of the scriptures.

This particular version is nice because it is hand-sized, and leather bound... easy to keep with me and easy to use.
