Plan on going to Japan? Short term or long term? If you are going to make international phone calls back home or to friends there is nothing more convenient than using Skype to make your calls. With that said to enhance your Skype experience I highly recommend using the Plantronics 510 Bluetooth headset with USB Bluetooth adapter. It allows you free yourself from being stuck to the PC and talking making it hands free to do anything else. It has a range of about 30 feet which is perfect for those in the hotel room or in their apartment. Things I use it for to multitask: Talking on the phone while - cleaning, organizing, laundry, cooking, looking for certain items, using the restroom! Also, if you're a smoker it frees you up to go outside on your own terms while on the phone. Great for listening to music without bothering anyone. Leaving it on standby I listen to music and Skype automatically alerts me when there are any calls coming in. Very easy to use and connect. I use it almost everyday.
