Clark Covington earned his Bachelor of Arts in Politics & Government from Ohio Wesleyan University, and his Masters of Arts in English from the University of South Carolina. Mr. Covington currently resides in Columbia, South Carolina and enjoys spending time at his beach home in Myrtle Beach, South Carolina.

Excellent resource, one star shy of "definitive"
Mr. Covington's excellent and informative book was filled with ideas and resources for writers. The book contains less than 75 pages, distributed in 9 chapters, and touches on a variety of writing opportunities such as blogs, sales letter writing, and press releases. In each chapter, he clearly defines each type of writing opportunity, and provides advantages and disadvantages of each type of writing, along with some advice on future opportunities and his opinions on market domination for each type of writing. The book is an invaluable source of relevant websites. Within a day of completing the book, I had found no less than a half-dozen potential writing gigs as a direct result of his recommendations. My sole criticism of the book is the lack of info on marketing. As he opted to title the book "The DEFINITIVE Guide to Making Money Online with Your Writing" I feel a chapter on marketing would certainly be appropriate. NOTE: I sent an email to the author describing my criticism and received a response on the SAME DAY, advising me he was close to completing an entire book on internet marketing. Based on the book I just read from this author, as well as his quick response, I am certain to purchase it. Overall, a very strong recommendation for Mr. Covington's highly informative and inspirational book.

A Must Have for Your Writing Library!
"The Definitive Guide to Making Money Online With Your Writing" by Clark R. Covington is a must-have addition to your writing library. In this short book, Mr. Covington gets right to the point and gives well-thought out and detailed examples of writing markets that he has discovered and used to great success. He outlines many examples from writing web content to SEO article writing. He also gives many concrete ways to find potential writing goldmines, future writing opportunities, and the pros and cons of each writing market. He also peppers his books with amusing anecdotes of his meteoric rise from being destitute to owning several successful online writing businesses in a few short months. After reading this book, I felt inspired to start my own online editorial business.
This book is a great gem.

Realistic Expectations
Clark Covington does a wonderful job of defining each of the different types of writing opportunities and pros/cons of each type. He helps to set realistic monetary expectations for each of the areas one may consider entering and provides tips on how to do it effectively. The websites included in this book are invaluable resources. I highly recommend this book to just about everyone -- whether you are considering writing, considering outsourcing some writing, or just want to understand some of the nuances behind what you read on the Internet. I look forward to future reads from this author.
