A note about Hush Puppies sizing
I ordered these in EEE width but when they arrived they were labeled EW (extra wide).

I called the Hush Puppies customer service line and they explained that EW size is EQUIVALENT to a EEE. Judging by the way these fit, I'd say they're more like EE.

To avoid confusion, Amazon should remove the EEE size option from this item. Whether you choose EEE or EW, they're going to send you EW.

Otherwise, the shoes appear well made and are a bargain at the sale price.

A Pleasure to wear
Since I graduated college (oh so long ago), I thought that uncomfortable shoes were as much a part of business life as neckties. Imagine my delight when I slipped on a pair of shoes with the comfort of a pair of sneakers, yet with a business look. Now you know why I have become a life-long fan of Hush Puppy shoes.

I currently live in Japan, and need to remove my shoes when I enter any houses, so not having laces is a definite must for me. The elastic on this model is strong enough to keep its shape and hold the shoe firmly on my foot without being too tight. I love the thick-padded edges that are soft against my ankle instead of chafing. The bottoms have sneaker-like traction and comfort, making them easy to walk in without slipping on wet/flat surfaces. The one-piece construction of the toe area makes it easy to clean and hold a shine without much fuss, and these shoes are very light, making it easy for me to continue walking or standing during my work-day.

I bought the brown version instead of the black because from the internet picture, the black version had white stitches on the black leather and that didn't look as good as the brown shoe with brown stitching.

clearly in the minority for this item - but, I ordered them in Nov '08 and was dissapointed. Fit was fine, but the leather was harder than I like, cheaper looking and feeling and overall, the shoes didn't have a nice appearance.

I actually gave them away to my father-in-law. Would not recommend them - much better shoes out there to be had at the money from Timberland, Clark, Edmund-Allen, etc.....
