Buy new: $13.59 / Used from: $8.45 This has the best first issue of any series. Sets the mood and the tone for the character beautifully. Jamie Delano is definitely my favorite Hellblazer writer. He has a real knack for the character (Neil Gaiman and Alan Moore are the only ones to MAYBE take his crown). It's an amazing re-invention of the horror comic as well. Plays in the genre while stepping outside of it.

Buy new: $62.37 / Used from: $52.90 Of course, Neil Gaiman's Sandman. The benchmark for all magical books. He makes the beyond seem tangible and next door. My favorite volume in here is definitely The Doll's House. Although in the first story he does a nice job of referencing Ennis' Hellblazer.
