![]() | Y: The Last Man, Vol. 1 (Deluxe Edition) by Brian K. Vaughan
Buy new: $19.79 / Used from: $16.45 Y the Last Man is one of my favorite comic book series ever. Brian K Vaughan is a master of the cliffhanger, but he also is a master of storytelling. His characters have depth and real emotions which jump off the page.

![]() | DC: The New Frontier, Vol. 1 by Darwyn Cooke
Buy new: $13.59 / Used from: $3.00 New Frontier is a fantastic golden age story with beautiful art by Darwyn Cooke. If you can afford it, buy the Absolute Edition which really showcases the art. If not, buy this one. I'm pretty sure every golden and silver age DC character makes an appearance in here, but I could be wrong.

![]() | Strangers In Paradise Pocket Book 1 (Strangers in Paradise (Graphic Novels)) (Bk. 1) by Terry Moore
Buy new: $8.44 / Used from: $0.32 A book so good even my wife likes it. She doesn't like anything. To explain the plot would be to ruin it. It's a story of disfuntional people in love with each other. There's humor and sadness. By the end of the book you will be in love with at least one of the characters.

![]() | 100 Bullets: First Shot, Last Call (100 Bullets) by Brian Azzarello

![]() | The Boys Vol. 1: The Name of the Game (v. 1) by Garth Ennis
Buy new: $11.55 / Used from: $7.40 The Boys isn't for everyone. If you're easily offended, don't buy it. If the thought of a sweet, romantic moment between a couple deeply in love is interupted by a Superman type where the woman ends up being pulped against a wall doesn't make you laugh, move along. If it sounds funny, this book is for you.

![]() | Batman: The Killing Joke by Alan Moore

![]() | The Interman by Jeff Parker
Buy new: $19.95 / Used from: $1.95 A fun story. That's all I'll say. If you haven't heard of it, too bad. You should buy it.

![]() | Scott Pilgrim, Vol. 1: Scott Pilgrim's Precious Little Life by Bryan Lee O'Malley
Buy new: $8.60 / Used from: $7.07 Nice and light. A very fun book about a perpetual loser who falls in love with a woman out of his league. Hilarity ensues. Manga-esque

![]() | The American Way by John Ridley
Buy new: $17.99 / Used from: $3.92 I love stories with original superheroes. This one definately fits that bill. Set in the 50's and 60's(I think?), it's an interesting take on how superheroes would really be treated.
