Spider-Man is by far the most popular of all Marvel characters. When he first came to the comic book scene in the 1960s he was different, edgy and more importantly, a kid most other teenagers could relate to. Ultimate Spider-Man is an INCREDIBLE re-telling of the Spider-Man story with its own twists. A MUST BUY! Collects Issues #1-13 as well as a reprint of the original Amazing Fantasy #15!

Whereas the first Ultimate Daredevil/Elektra collection was more of a background story to all of this, this one gets right down to Ultimate Daredevil/Elektra action. Elektra actually shows up in USM4 (the second arc) and Daredevil shows up in UXM4, so try to read these before then.

Ultimate X-men isn't quite as good as Ultimate Spidey, but is definitely worth reading. My major complaint is the constant change of artists (starting next volume). Can be read right after USM Vol. 1. Collects Issues #1-12 as well as Giant Sized X-men #1 (from the 1970s). SHOULD contain X-men 1/2 (which is between the first and second arcs), but doesn't.

I can't stress exactly how wonderful Ultimate Spider-Man really is. The art is superb and the story-telling just as good. This is by far the single best artist/writer combination I have ever seen. This series keeps them both for at least the first 100 odd issues, so hurrah! Collects issues #14-27 to be read after UXM Vol. 1.

Introduces Venom in a very new and exciting way. Venom came from outer space in the original Spidey, but here Venom is much more than a symbiont from outer space. Very good, again, must read. Read between UXM Vol 2 arcs 1 and 2. Collects USM #28-39 and the quirky USM 1/2.

The first arc in USM Vol. 4 comes right after UXM Vol. 3. VERY cool, due to the comical presence of the X-Men. Issue #46 is present in Vol. 5, but it honestly has no bearing on the next arc, so you can read issue #45, then #47 without worry. Very cool insight into the Kingpin. Elektra included too, so try have a look at Ultimate Elektra first.

Issue #46 is included as the first issue in this collection. It introduces Sandman and actually occurs during USM Vol. 2. Has no bearing on any of the USM arcs and is only important for the first arc in this section, The Ultimate 6, a modern take on the first Spidey super special from the 60s, The Sinister 6. The U6 was pretty cool. The second USM arc was HILARIOUS.

Alright, UXM 5 has 3 main arcs. The first arc comes during the Carnage arc in USM6 (can be read before). The second arc comes after the Wolverine Crossover in USM6. The third arc comes way later, after both USM7 and UFF2. I haven't read the third arc, so I will do so soon and figure out if it really needs to be read that much later.

I have yet to read this, but this collection contains three important arcs. The first one, Ultimate Nightmare, comes after UXM5's first arc. Can also be read before Carnage in USM6. The second one, Ultimate Secret, comes after UXM5's 2nd arc, USM7 and UFF2. The third one, Ultimate Extinction, comes after Ultimate Vision, which comes directly after Ultimate Secret.

Read after USM7 and before Ultimate Secret and UXM5's third arc.

Read the first arc after Ultimate Extinction from the Galactus trilogy. *Sighs* Having 4 major lines (USM, UXM, UFF, and the Ultimates) makes keeping track of all of this that much harder. I apologise if this is confusing, I will be updating again soon.
