A strong wind across the ocean kicked up, and Shana heard windows slamming outside her bedroom. Startled, she moved to close them when she heard a creaking sound on the wood balcony outside and saw a shadow through the white curtains briskly pass by the window just as a tree branch smacked the roof of the house.
Frightened, she ran to her bed. Its probably just a cat, she told herself.

Customer Reviews
unexpected
This is an exciting book with unexpected plot twists. It keeps you turning the pages. Could be a great movie.
A contemporary who-dun-it
Intrique, interesting characters, suspense--this novel has it all. Once I started it, I couldn't put it down. A classic who-dun-it written in a contempory style and setting. I can't wait for more from this author.
Great Book - Outstanding New Author
I just finished reading Misrepresented and I was very impressed with the story and the way it was written. This crime novel was well researched and the author allowed the reader to easily imagine that he or she was actually on the scene of the crimes. The plot had more twists than a roller coaster and the ending is totally out of the blue. Highly recommend this book and I look forward to Ms. Hampton's next book if and when she writes it.
