He sure would love to have someone to take care ofÂ…
Dr. Mike Flynn's single mom taught him early how to cook and clean, and there's nothing like vacuuming or doing dishes to help a guy relax. Annabelle Ronaldi is an artist without a domestic bone in her body. Since her fiance's death, she can't paint, and life looks hopeless.
Until the day after her sister's wedding, when she wakes up with Mike next to her in bed, and then she's really beside herself - because the handsome stranger is a dead ringer for her dead fiance.
After their mind-blowing one night stand, Mike is sure this is the woman he wants to take care of forever, but she acts like she's seen a ghost. While Mike sets to work wooing Annabelle, she sets to work sniffing out the truth of the convoluted family secret that turns everybody's lives upside down.

Editorial Reviews
From Publishers Weekly
Kaye's 2008 debut, Romeo Romeo, got such a warm reception that she's written it again, from the mistaken identities to the messy Brooklyn apartment. The only real surprise is the heroine: the repellent Annabelle Ronaldi, whose sister starred in the previous title. The morning after her sister's wedding, Annabelle awakens next to Dr. Mike Flynn, who bears an eerie resemblance to Annabelle's dead boyfriend, Chip. Mike, unlike Annabelle, makes a believable protagonist, and his interactions with patients provide some of the story's most heartwarming scenes. Kaye's intermittent attempts to create psychological depth, however, sit oddly with the dishy one-liners that dominate her prose. The story of a sensitive guy who cooks and cleans for an outspoken modern woman was cute and sparkly the first time around, but this year-old Champagne has lost its fizz. (May)

Customer Reviews
Nice pleasant story. Easy reading. Good and interesting characters.
STORY BRIEF:
Annabelle loved Chip who died from cancer five years earlier. She meets Mike at her sister's wedding. Mike looks like he could be Chip's twin brother. They are immediately attracted to each other. Annabelle is an artist working in an art gallery. Mike is a Doctor (lung specialist). Mike is great at cooking and cleaning, Annabelle is not.
REVIEWER'S OPINION:
I had no complaints other than the method used to separate the couple. Annabelle wants to break up with Mike because she thinks he will be better off without her (so she won't come between him and his family). This was stupid on her part and not true. Mike gets mad at Annabelle because she kept something secret from him. Some reasonable communication earlier in the relationship would have solved the problem. Other than that it was enjoyable.

OTHER BOOKS:
To date, I've read one other book by Robin Kaye. My 3 star review of "Romeo Romeo" was posted 1/18/09.
Even Better than the First!
I liked Romeo, Romeo. I really cared about the characters, even Annabelle, the seemingly annoying sister. Well, my feelings paid off in this book! No wonder I cared about her, she's awesome! We just needed to see her out from under Rosalie shadow -- and in Too Hot to Handle, we do. :)
The few nitpicky things I didn't love about Robin Kaye's first novel just didn't happen in the second, which is just a wonderful read. I didn't put it down (okay, I went to the restroom once -- but that's it) until I finished it in the wee hours. I was particularly impressed with her introduction of the characters, intrigued immediately, and well rewarded in the end.
My only complaint was the dad seemed to get off a bit too easily -- he deserves to suffer a bit more for what he did to Annabelle when she was with Chip. He doesn't deserve to find Coleen willing to pick up with him again! At least Mike seemed to agree with me. ;)
I cannot wait for the third book. I suspect I know who the lead characters will be, and I so hope to be right!
Well written, funny, poignant and SEXY!!
Surprising review
I loved Robin Kaye's first book "Romeo, Romeo."
I wanted to love her second, but then I started reading it. It started off introducing the characters -- hmmm, ALL the same characters as the first book: Rosalee, Nick, the neighbors, cousin Vinny, the family, the boss! It even took place in the same apartment and with the same dog!!! Ugh. That is the author's way of taking the easy way out -- don't have to develop new characters, and don't have to describe new locations. I hate that! As a matter of fact, the only new character in this book was Becca -- how much you wanna bet the next book is about her?!?!
OK, I'm slamming this book for the author being lazy. So, why did I give it a 5 star review? Simple, Robin Kaye is an incredibly talented writer. This book was fun, funny, sexy and very, very enjoyable to read. After beginning the book, I was so disgusted, I really wanted to hate it. But, she totally won me over and I loved the book.
I wish Ms. Kaye hadn't taken the easy way out. I hope I'm wrong about her next book. But even if I am not, I will be reading it. She is terrific!
One note: The sex scenes are explicit. If that does not appeal to you -- do not read this book.
:-)
