Product Description

Book Description From the Publisher When the pieces of a masterfully crafted puzzle are scattered all over Washington D.C. and P.G. County Maryland, quick witted and statuesque D.C. Detective Hanae Troop must uncover who is responsible for leaving colorful deadly weapons at each crime scene. The killer, who goes by the name of The Paradox, is on a mission to murder D.C.'s #1 male exotic dancers, all for a personal vendetta that stretches all the way back to Philadelphia.

There is national attention because of a highly visible protest right in the middle of the U.S. Capitol lawn. For sure, the Feds are out to take over the case from D.C.'s Homicide Division. The outstanding reputation of the department rests on the shoulders of Detective Troop. Will she discover that the killings are tied to Teco Jackson, who is known as a snitch in the City of Brotherly Love? Or will Detective Troop find that these crimes stem from a jealous rage?

One thing is certain. Teco is wedged in the middle of the Chocolate City's most infamous murders; and Detective Troop has to decide if she is going to cuff Teco or protect him. Ultimately, she finds herself in a strange predicament when she comes face to face with The Paradox. The question remains, are these crimes of passion or revenge?

From the Critics / Editorial Review

Library Journal - The Word on Street Lit No. 1 (February 7, 2008)

Weeks's second entry in his self-published "Street Life" series (after Is It Suicide or Murder?) mixes gritty street-lit action with hints of a police procedural that will appeal to both urban fiction fans and readers of African American mysteries.

Teco Jackson, a guy with great abs and stunning biceps, enters the fast-paced world of male stripping in Chocolate City (Washington, DC). But somebody is settling an old score against male strippers, and Teco becomes a prime suspect in the killings. Hanae Troop, a cop's cop, is on the case trying to clarify shady connections among Teco, his former crew from Philly, and Paradox, the serial killer who has left a threatening note. Weeks's street prose especially shines in the club scenes.

thought provoking book5
just got through reading this book which held my attention from start to finish. Brother Kevin Weeks will keep you on the edge of your seat with his twists and turns as a writer and how he envisions a story unfolding. i couldn't put this book down as it covers a wide range of subject matters and you still want to re-read parts just so you didn't miss anything. very compelling to say the least.

G-String Snitches5
Teco Jackson has come a long way from hustling, drugs and beat downs to beautiful women, lavish cars and expensive dinners. While Teco may be done with his SB life, SB is certainly not done with him. Will Teco ever be able to put his past life behind him?

GQ has finally finished paying the price for a murder she did not commit. After years of thinking and plotting to get the snitch who wanted her to rot in jail, it is finally time to execute her plan. He may have taken her SB title and years of freedom, but he will not take away her satisfaction of revenge.

The Paradox despises a snitch. Snitches get more than just stitches and the Paradox cannot wait to deliver his murderous tri-color surprises. Will the Paradox get to the end of its rainbow?

Kevin Weeks is not the usual one hit wonder. He delivers again with Teco "Rising Sun" Jackson who keeps you wondering just how he does those moves and when he will be in a town near you. Wonderful sequel and I look forward to more from Weeks.

Is it Passion or Revenge?
Review

Kevin M. Weeks is a very distinguished writer. I have read his work before and will keep reading his work. His writing is very twisted. He makes you think while reading his books.

He will have your mind racing thinking you have solved it and pin pointed someone you feel committed the crime but it will end up being a totally different person.

The book is mind boding when you think you have figured it out nope you're wrong. I can't wait to find out what happens next. Oh, and I Think its revenge.

If you like a bit of spice in your reading and some twists and turns this is a must read book. I can't wait to read the next book!
