No substitute...
There are times when it pays to go with original equipment. This is one of those times. The plug, cable, and connectors are the best quality and work perfectly with a number of Canon devices. What's more, even with the Canon name on the box, it's priced well and worth the very modest extra cost to know the plug fits the device properly, and the cable will remain flexible even in the chill of winter!
Video Cable
I misplaced my original video cable for my Canon camera. And while I could find a replacement in a local store it really wasn't as good as this cable. I'm really happy to have found this on Amazon.
Canon Hi8 Video Cameras
This cable is for outputting the video from older Canon Camcorders. My original cable that came with the camera got damaged and this was my replacement for older tapes that I had not digitized yet.
