Lesbian Trying to Defame Janet Jackson
This story is so far fetched. Many things the author claims in this book, you have to roll your eyes at and just shake you head.
Let me give you some examples:
1) She meets Janet's boyfriend at a Janet concert.
(I highly doubt that Janet's boyfriend would be mingle with any audince member at a Janet concert...unless you have backstage passes)

2) Janet saw her from the stage, "flirted" with her, and later on the net, after she sent one of Janet's employees her picture, Janet IMed her stating "You ARE the bomb"
(Janet sees millions while on tour....I doubt that Janet would remember her [of all people]...because she aint all that.)

3) She was concerned that Janet would find out her address, after she claims that Janet had prank called her, crashed her computer, and tapped her phone line.
(If Janet had the resources to crash your computer, tap your phone, she obviously can find out your address [anyone with your phone number can])

The book was also poorly written...obviously english is the author's second language...most of it is written in ebonics.
Prehaps if she spent less time trying to defame a mega star she could write a decent book....

Not GREAT-But DAMN GOOD!!!!!!
Well. I have to say "not great" because I love Janet Jackson and have always been a fan of hers and I'd love to believe that this whole book IS just fragments of Angela Witterson's imagination-but unfortunately, I dont think it is. If this girl could REALLY just conjure stuff out of her mind like she did in this ? page book (seeing as though she has no page numbers in it), she needs to be getting paid for her imagination rather that telling a story that could possibly hurt Janet. Sorry, but if this book had been about ANYBODY but Janet, I'd say "great AND damn good" but, I dont know, I'm just a bit disappointed in Janet if this IS a true story. But after finally finsihing the book and reading through that busy site of hers, I'm sorry-I'd have to say that it is a true story and a damned good one. I'll tell you what though. I got my eye on her and can't wait to see how this pans out.
My recommendation? Well. I just feel really sorry for this girl and admire her gutts in taking the steps that she did to tell HER side of the story. But I guess what puzzles me is, why haven't we heard anything regarding Janets side? Um, can you spell: G.U.I.L.T.Y?
In 2 words. READ IT and judge for yourself. She writes well (a BIT too detailed/wordy though) but told a damned good story about what I believe, is the truth.
After reading other reveiws on this site, I'd have to say that these are ALL Janet fans who just can't HANDLE the truth and unfortunately, she is sure to get slammed. So if you rely on any public reviews on this and the other sites to decide to read it or not-obviously, you won't because hey-Janet's fans love her.
Me? I do too, but I'm not sick over her.
The authors website was emailed to me this past summer and I made my decision to read it from there.
NICOLES TOP 10 list (review):
1. The girl met Rene (but I question if she REALLY told the truth about what all was said/done)
2. Three years later, Janet noticed her from the stage (the girl shoulda been flattered cause she aint "all that")
3. Janet wanted to meet her. (okay-I'll admit, she is quite interesting)
4. Janet finally got a chance to meet her. (as if SHE was the star-bllrrr!!!)
5. It somehow got back to Janet that Rene and the girl had met three years prior. (the girl probably shoulda told Janet-I'd say).
6. Janet got upset and started stalking the girl via phone and computer/emails and stuff (never knew Janet had it in her to be a Bond girl)
7. During Janets Bond Mission, she got all the girls things and decided that she wanted to pick up where they had left off and call a truce. (makes me wonder if Janet really had a booby trap awaiting the girl)
8. The girl agreed. (sort of)
9. Janet's friends hated the idea that Janet still wanted to (be) friends or with her. (those are the juicy parts of the book)
10. The girl got upset because Janets friends and entouarge kept tabs on everything she did and said. (and the girl seemed to not have minded when you read the book but somehow the site throws me off and now I have to wonder if she and Janet are/were lovers and are now simply FIGHTING...)

I'll close by saying this though: IF it turns out that Angela Witerson DID sleep with Rene and allowed Janet to befriend her and become interested in her, then she needs to be slapped-right with her own book. Because it is very obvious that Janet liked her for so many reasons and it would be a shame if she's hiding something.
That is one thing that the reader will always be curious about. The rest was well explained, well written and well told.

Chatroom betrayed for THIS??
It has come to our attention that our beloved chat room has become the backdrop for one author's unfortunate attempt to cash in on Janet's notoriety as well as the public's hunger for sensational celebrity stories. Thinly veiled as a work of fiction about a situation between two people intertwined with philosophical presumptions about abuses of social power, this novel is a gross misrepresentation of Janet, our chatroom, and the innocent people who were unknowingly disparaged by the author in this book. Simply put, the author is guilty of exactly what she proclaims to be fighting against. It's important to note that the author befriended real-life people in this story and then victimized and wrote about them without regard to their feelings or privacy, just as she writes was done to her in this book. It depicts some of our most loyal and loved friends and chatters in an unfair and very judgmental light, without even the courtesy of changing their names or other personal information to protect their privacy. However fictional, there are also allegations of Janet committing very serious criminal offenses, such as stalking, wire-tapping and other questionable behavior. The author, who fancies herself to be quite savvy, ruins any credibility she might have had by using the "supporting-cast" because her theories and descriptions about computer hacking are incredibly inaccurate and unsound. The author should have done some homework in these areas. Cover to cover, the book looks cheap and is also very poorly organized between the story itself, e-mails, and computer messages, as well as typos, misspellings and many other factual inaccuracies throughout.

I encourage you not to purchase this book, not only because it's very poorly presented, but it is also written in extremely poor taste and judgment.
