About the Author
Simon Leigh is an Australia-born, Oxford-educated writer, poet, playwright and former racing driver. He's now retired from university teaching and writes full-time. Simon complains about over-population, war and the loss of biodiversity, while enjoying good coffee, sex, ski racing and tennis. He lives in Toronto with his Australian wife Nenagh, who is a dance artist and choreographer of beautiful, gloomy works. His third book of poems, most of them already published in literary journals, is Short Strokes, 2007, 24 pages. At $5 (post free) it's available from Shift-F7 Press, 227 River St., Toronto, ON, M5A 3P9, Canada. Simon's tragic-comic novel Wild Women (UKA Press, 2005/7), set in Fredericton, has been praised by Paul Quarrington (Canada), Miles Kington (UK) and PODGIRL (USA): “Leigh is a master of voice and this novel should be required reading in creative writing classes.” It's $20 from Amazon.
