Golden SunGolden Sun

I love this game, seriously. It's bright and colorful, with an in-depth storyline. I like it more than final fantasy.
Golden Sun: The Lost AgeGolden Sun: The Lost Age
Buy new: $129.98 / Used from: $16.60
Gotta play the sequel, equally if not more awesome than the first. Both these titles are fun and not overly difficult introductions to the RPG genre.
Trace MemoryTrace Memory
Buy new: $68.40 / Used from: $14.50
This game is a nice change from the battles of a lot of games. You aren't racing against a clock or a horde of monsters or anything. A dark, interesting storyline, filled with puzzles and intrigue. Only complaint is that it's a little short.
Hotel Dusk: Room 215Hotel Dusk: Room 215
Buy new: $17.05 / Used from: $8.95
Kind of played along the same lines as Trace Memory. Talk to people, find clues, etc. There is a lot of dialogue to sit through though.
Final Fantasy IIIFinal Fantasy III
Buy new: $14.86 / Used from: $4.88
This is fun, the graphics are really amazing, especially for a handheld game. Wasn't as great as some of the other FF titles, but it was cool to mess around with all the different jobs you can give your characters.
Harvest Moon: Friends of Mineral TownHarvest Moon: Friends of Mineral Town
Buy new: $14.95 / Used from: $12.13
Can't remember how I stumbled upon Harvest Moon. But it's an interesting game, you work your farm and try to become successful, and eventually marry and build a family. Easy to get lost in.
Fire Emblem: The Sacred StonesFire Emblem: The Sacred Stones
Buy used from: $10.99
Really cool strategy game, move your characters around a battlefield. I enjoyed getting characters to build support levels and help each other. Makes you plan very carefully, because if you lose a character, you can't have them back, and it's a pain to start a battle all over again.
Final Fantasy VIFinal Fantasy VI
Buy new: $109.89 / Used from: $24.99
Love the rpgs. Of the GBA final fantasies, this is probably my favorite. It has some nice character development and some truly funny moments. Never got dull.
