Just about the best
lipstick going. This review is for the Guava Stain shade. I first bought this lipstick, I believe in the mid to late eighties. I was delighted with it then and am now. It is sheer, light, non greasy and the color never changes. The color is NOT neutral, but I find that I can wear it with almost any color of clothing except primarily pink or red outfits. Over the years it has become just about the only lipstick shade I wear. I would buy different brands,different shades and wear them maybe once then back to Guava Stain. It along with Clinque's soft pressed blush in New Clover, orginally bought about the same time as the lipstick have become my favorites, and the one's I reach for time and again. They are my dependables. Daytime wear for sure, not night, this is a subtle sheer color.

Sheer delight
I love this lipstick. I bought it in Shy and it's a nice medium pinky-brown shade, sort of a neutral. I have lighter warmer skin tone, and it goes with anything and it feels great on the lips: smooth and comfortable on the lips, no scent, and it stays on and on. I'll buy it again in a heartbeat!

Nice Shades
I needed a pretty red lipstick and bought this in Angel Red (I also tried Cl. Soft Matte in Red Hot. Angel Red is darker and has a brown/purple tint to it). My skin is fair and a little pale and I am very very pleased with this shade of lipstick. I wore it together with a dark blue dress, and later with a purple dress, and it was a perfect match.
The lipstick is creamy but I did not find it specially hydrating (then again, most lipsticks dry my lips anyway so I should be thankful). It lasts just as long as any other lipstick and as for its shine, it is one of the best I tried so far: it is not "shiny" shiny but has a wonderful moist look. Perfect!
On the down side, the stick itself is a little thinner than most lipsticks and looks too fragile. In fact the first time I tried it home the stick got broken at the base, so I had to change it for a new one.
