Customer Reviews

Wow. 5
Again, Wow.

I decided to go with Aerobed after one of my friends professed her undying love for the brand, and I have personally been very impressed. I have slept on many mattresses that cost a comparable amount, and this is easily the best. This has been the only (inflatable) mattress that didn't deflate during the night.

Also, it was really quick to inflate. The directions said it should take about 1 minute to inflate (which I expected to be a farce). I was amazed when the mattress was fully inflated after 57 seconds. Seriously. Deflation was also about a minute.

Plus, the pump is operated by a switch located on the power cord - you don't have to hang out on the floor while you inflate/deflate, and you don't have to lift up the sheets and find the pump if you are wanting to add any air.

Great mattress.

this is a great item and would recommend this to all. the pump fills it up in seconds and adjustments are made easily. happy sleeping.

Product has a slight leak, but otherwise seems quite good3
I know, it's a bit contradictory - slight leak versus quite good. But after reading the reviews here, and on lots of other products, it seems all these stupid beds leak. Mine has a slight leak. It's slightly softer in the morning than the night before. But nothing bad. It inflates ridiculously fast, under a minute, and deflates just as quickly with the motor, which is built in to the bed. I find the bed fits its bag perfectly IF you roll it up the right way. Basically, fold it in towards the center, from the long sides, so you end up with a long thin bed. Then roll it up from the bottom towards the motor. Fits the bag fine if you do that.

As for comfort, I didn't love it, but I don't tend to like new beds. Having said that, my sister had an inflatable bed years ago that was wonderful. I can't recall which one, but it was amazingly comfortable. So they do exist.

I'm not terribly happy that the thing gets softer overnight (even when I'm not sleeping on it), but I did sleep on it one night and it did not deflate. The size is fine, it's a few inches under a Queen, so it's a tad deceptive - it's actually somewhere between a full and a queen, so it's not officially a queen.

As for plasticy smell, not as bad as I've seen reported for other beds. Basically smells like those inflatable rafts you use at the pool. I left mine out several days, not a problem.

Oh, and the bed is cold. By the middle of the night, I was literally cold because of the mattress becoming chilly. That's not the bed's fault, just mentioning it. Perhaps it needs a blanket or something as a base, under the fitted sheet.

All in all, considering the price, this is a pretty good product. I'm not pleased about the slight deflation, but it seems that nobody makes a decent inflatable bed that doesn't deflate, judging by the reviews. It's very hit or miss, and if I return the thing, I may get a worse leaker. Sigh. But at least it's from Amazon, if the leak is too much, I can return it the first 30 days, so not so bad.
