Customer Reviews
First there was Brit-Pop, then came Brit-Rap :)
I really enjoy The Street's lyrics and his overall style.
It's not the overwhelming, life-changing music usually worthy of 5 stars, but he hits some pretty good points lyrically, and I found myself shaking my head in agreement with many of the things he says.
It's British rap, different from "mainstream" but lending to the genre in it's own unique way, and I think most artists would strive to put their own little touch on things. The Streets does this, IMO.
I'm adding more of The Street's work to my play list. Let's see where it goes.
The Streets, different kind of rap
I really like The Streets' style. It's a British guy rapping, basically, but this album is thoughtful and reflective, full of middle-aged thought. A man reflecting on his life, father's death, etc.
It's not my preference!
I downloded this song to listen to new music proposal, but it is not my preference.
