Editorial Reviews

Album Description
In 1984/85 Emmylou Harris recorded I've Always Needed You, a duet album with Carl Jackson, an accomplished bluegrass banjo player, singer-songwriter, and long-time member of Glenn Campbell's band. This reissue is now available from Eldorado Records.

Though Emmylou Harris is one of the most admired and influential woman in contemporary country music, her scope extends far beyond it. Her lengthy and sometimes underrated career has both spanned and spawned musical styles. Billboard magazine has called her a "truly venturesome, genre-transcending pathfinder." Forever consumed by her passion for music, Harris remains a graceful and dedicated artiste in a class all of her own.

Features country greats Ricky Skaggs, Melba Montgomery, and more.

Customer Reviews

A waste of time1
This is as misleading as it gets...surely Emmylou didn't approve her name and picture to be featured so prominently and associated with a project she had little or nothing to do with.

avoid this collection1
This collection of songs (Carl Jackson with Emmylou on background) has been issued under several small labels and several titles. Avoid this one. If you must have this then search for one of the many other titles that are cheaper.

RIP OFF!!! DON'T BUY THIS1
Emmylou sings lead on the first cut- and that's it. Melba Montgomery has more work as the backup singer on the rest of the songs than Ms. Harris does. This will no doubt end up as a lawsuit if it isn't recalled immediately.
