The Best Lighthearted Book on Bunnies!
Forget the photo books--this little paperback is the winner! The sketches aren't always exactly proportional, but they're cute and the text is hilarious.
Each two pages contain a behavior description and opposing sketch; there are about 30 of these pairs. It will teach you some things about rabbit behavior and the description at the end of what owning a rabbit entails is SPOT ON--no rabbit guide will describe it better. However, don't expect to read this cute book and be all ready to own a bunny. It's just for fun.
My personal favorite was,
Behavior
Rubbing chin on things, such as houseplants, priceless armoires, Italian leather shoes.
What it means
A great misconception: It does NOT mean marking territory. It is a rabbit custom, like saying grace before a meal. In short, "One day I will eat you."
What you should do
Give your bunny more sticks and branches, keep your stuff off the floor, and kiss the antiques goodbye.
Fun gift for bunny owners
I gave this as a gift to a friend who has an indoor pet rabbit. She said it made her laugh and also gave her insight into some of "Bea's" behavior.
Cute book
This book is cute. It is rather short and not very informative, but it is entertaining. Don't purchase it if you are looking to educate yourself on rabbit behavior. If you are looking for a light read, this is perfect.
