Customer Reviews

Not the best book ever.3
Rick Stevens actually wrote a pretty descent book, but to get the full experience you'll have to take the same trip as he made. I went on a interrail this summer (summer '09) and we did not follow his tracks. Therefore we couldn't really use the book which really disapointed me. I was hopping it had a short introduction to the major cities in ALL of europe. It does not have that. However, when you actually get to a city he been to you will find that he has a lot of good advices and then it might be the best book ever. If you are planning on following his footsteps through europe, then this is a 5 stars book, but if you do not, then this does not deserve any stars. Therefore I give it three stars.

Good guide3
I have purchase this guide book before our family trip to Europe and was reading it before we left. It has some helpful information, but since I am originally from Europe myself I just ended up getting free tourist maps and walking around on my own.

Great book5
Rick Steves does a great job of giving you an overview of various European cities. I am definitely bringing this along with me on my trip, but I would also suggest doing some cross research on other websites to check on reviews of hotels and restaurants (like trip advisor).
