No Matter What Diet/Exericse Program You are Following...
"Get Fit With Technology" is, without a doubt, one of the BEST investments I've ever made. I, also, had read that the Journal of the American Medical Association had published statistical information, which showed that computer-aided diet and exercise programs enabled dieters to lose approximately 3 TIMES as much weight as those who didn't use such programs. I reasoned that if I learned only 1-2 tools that would help in the weight battle, it would be well worth the price of the book. Well, fortunately I learned so much more! It contained a wealth of information and I am so grateful that I purchased this book.
I have over 50 diet/exercise/health book in my personal library. Moreover, I subscribe to several health newsletters - both online and through the mail. But I have to candidly tell you that I came close to not ordering this book, which would have been a HUGE mistake.
You see, I consider myself to be pretty "computer savvy." Moreover, I thought that "Get Fit With Technology" would probably contain the myriad of out-of-date info on all the latest diet and exercise websites that I could easily find myself on Google, etc. Plus, I have always thought that I was pretty up-to-date on all the latest "health gadgets" out there. I mean what could I really find in this book that I hadn't heard about before?
P*L*E*N*T*Y! This book DOES discuss some of the more common food and exercise websites such as Weight Watchers, e-diets, etc. - plus so many others that I had never seen anywhere online before. (And I read ALL of the health blurbs out there!) It also discusses choosing a plan that is right for your own needs; what type of professional software is out there (rather than just having a website); healthy cooking recipes sites online; support sites, fun fitness gadgets; some GREAT shopping sites; sites for specific diseases and conditions; and two of the best appendixes I've seen on some great health tools and websites.
No matter WHICH diet or exercise plan you are on; or if you haven't found that one particular diet yet that will work for you - Get Fit With Technology WILL help you. It has my absolutely HIGHEST recommendation.
