Customer Reviews

Nice OEM Nokia Case!5
Great magnetic case that allows the kickstand to extend while on. I can't stand the cheapy pouch that my n800 came with so very glad that we are able to purchase the OEM Nokia case in the US now. Thank you!

Nice, well-designed cover4
This is more a cover than a case. It will do a good job of protecting the screen from scratches, but not the unit from drops. A clever magnetic design holds case onto N800 and the cover closed over the screen. Comes with two magnets for mounting on a dashboard, desk, etc.

Lack of attention to detail3
Clever, interesting idea, but shocking lack of attention to detail.

Good: Protective of the screen, doesn't bulk it up much so it still fits in my pocket, better than the slip that comes with the N800, comes with a nifty cleaning cloth and magnet bars with adhesive backs

Bad: Need to glue a metal bar to the back of the battery cover to attach the case. I worry about warranty service, and the possibility of using other cases

Ugly: No protection for the buttons.

If you're at all aware about the N800 and its shortcomings, you'd know that it doesn't go into power-save mode if the buttons are pressed within a minute of "locking" the screen and buttons. A really good case would have solid cut-outs to keep the buttons from being mashed. I thought, this being an official accessory from Nokia, it surely would have that, but it doesn't. It's just flat across the entire face.

I've noticed that mine is starting to develop dents in the felt material from the buttons rubbing against it. This is definitely impacting the battery life negatively.

At current market rates, compared with third-party cases and amid falling N800 prices, I don't think this one is a good value.
