Product Description

LevelOne's POI-2000 is a passive POE device with internal power to minimize bulky power line and AC outlet management while installing your network. The product is fully compliant with the IEEE 802.3af standard and integrates with the original network to deliver power and data to a remote POE device over nothing more than an existing standard Ethernet cable. In order to provide a highly reliable solution, POI-2000 has surge protection to shut off the power supply if an excessive current or a short circuit is detected. With the PnP function, this device is easy to use just by simply connecting to the power and to the network cable. The system is then ready to go. Furthermore, the compact design makes it an easy fit for a desk or any limited space. For all the functions featured in POI-2000, people can get the benefit of flexible network installation at lower cost, less downtime, and easier maintenance than with traditional wiring.

Customer Reviews

Works As Expected5
And it's really cheap. I'll update this review if something goes wrong.

I have this connected to my security camera. So from my switch I have a short Ethernet cable going to this device. This device plugs into a power plug next to the switch. And then a CAT5 goes from the injector to my camera. Very nice.

Cheap and works great!5
I bought three of these. All of them have been working great for almost a year now. No problems at all. If you need to inject power over a single ethernet cable, this what you want. I'm using for PoE capable VoIP phones (Grandstreams).
