A Hard, Industrial Album that belongs in Every Collection
It is a wonder to me that Gravity Kills does not have a larger following than it already does. I was sad to see such a small crowd at one of their shows about 5 years ago when this album had recently come out.
For those who have not had a taste of this great music and need something to get the adreneline running, the self-titled album is the perfect place to start.
'Guilty' and 'Blame' are the crowd favorites for their high air-time on radios and on movie soundtracks, but every track on this CD is a work of art. The rough industrial sounds give them a sound of their own and anybody who enjoys rock or industrial music should delve into the music of Gravity Kills.

What the!!
Hands down, this is my second favorite album of all time. Jeff Scheel is one of my favorite lead singers, Matt Dudenhoffer is an awesome guitarist, and Doug Firley does keyboards to a new level. Every time I listen to this I like it more. I am waiting for the new one this year.
It starts out with Forward, a techno-sounding intro.
After that, two NIN-influenced songs, Guilty and Blame. I'm pretty sure you know Guilty, so I will go onto Blame. It sounds an awful lot like Head Like A Hole by Nine Inch Nails.
After that, two pure-excellence tracks. Down is probably the only non-dance song on this whole album. It sounds wondering. Here is my favorite song on here, tied with Hold. Here is awesome and describes everything 1996 had good in it. The last track, Hold, is by far their best work. This is too original for GK! NIN probably got some of their ideas for Into The Void from Hold. After Here is the angst-filled single, Enough. Inside is where I first thought it went downhill, but then later liked it more. Next is Goodbye. A demo version exists on both the Guilty single and Mortal Kombat soundtrack. It's very memorable and angry. After that is Last. I don't really know how to describe it, but do know NIN had that song title on Broken.
The songwriting quality isn't very bad. Unlike Stabbing Westward, Jeff isn't singing to every one of his exes who broke his heart, and isn't always that dark like NIN. They are all unique in some ways!
(To Avioletfluid: Didn't the Goo Goo Dolls used to always have one-word song titles?)
Every time I listen to Gravity Kills, I get happy. I don't know why, but I just do. Head on and decide how your mind is affected.
P.S. I didn't say "buy this" because I know you all probably wont listen and it's done due to your choice.
Gravity Kicks
This album is the epitome of industrial rock exploited to its fullest potential. Not only is every song just as good as the next, it keeps you wanting even more. Songs that Gravity Kills should certainly claim to fame include "Guilty", "Down", "Enough", and my favorite "Goodbye". The music is intense and definately puts you in the mood to get "rowdy". CDs usually contain 1 or 2 songs that are listened to continually, this album is the exception because every song is worthy of being played over and over.
