Here is everything you need to know about childhood immunization---most of which the medical profession fails to tell you. In this book, health-research writer Jamie Murphy explains what vaccines are, how they are made, what little-known toxic chemicals are used in their production, and how frequently the DPT vaccine causes local, systemic, and neurological reactions and deaths in infants and children. You will learn how our natural immunity protects us from disease and that breast-milk is an infant's best protection. Parents will also benefit from learning the simple steps they can take to successfully avoid immunization for their children.
Childhood immunization is one of the most critical health issues that parents face. What Every Parent Should Know about Childhood Immunization will help you face it intelligently.

Editorial Reviews
From Library Journal
This "comprehensive look at the rarely discussed secretive and mysterious aspects of immunization" is based on numerous papers on vaccination researched by the author, whose interests are in natural health and herbal medicine. A perusal of the bibliographical references, however, shows the vast majority dated prior to 1990. Murphy has a definite bias against vaccination, which is evident throughout the book. Taking an anti-innoculation stance similar to Randall Neustaedter's in The Immunization Decision ( LJ 6/1/90), he does not discuss the benefits of immunization. While his book provides worthwhile information on its risks and possible adverse effects, concerned parents should also consult literature that addresses the positive aspects of immunizations. Recommended for collections providing information on alternative medicine or those attempting to provide comprehensive consumer health coverage.

From Booklist
Murphy's book is important in part simply because it is one of only a few that shed light on the little-known hazards of vaccination. (Vaccination is the term sometimes used instead of immunization, since, as Murphy shows, vaccines do not guarantee immunity from childhood diseases.) Many contain toxins, and some are known to cause injurious reactions--even death. Despite, or perhaps because of, this disturbing evidence, most parents seem afraid to investigate the issue, and some are unaware of it. Then, too, there are those parents who decline to inoculate their children--a controversial but conscious decision. This book's availability in libraries is critical; Murphy's thoroughly researched and well-documented effort will, one hopes, make decisions about inoculations somewhat easier. Murphy should especially be commended for emphasizing the development of natural immunities, such as occur when babies are breast-fed. Jo Peer-Haas
Review
" Jamie Murphy has really done his homework, combing the literature and examining every aspect of the issue. Parents trying to make up their minds have every reason to be thankful."----Richard Moskowitz, M.D. --Back jacket of the book, What Every Parent Should Know about Childhood Immunization
"Parents who object to vaccinating their children against measles, whooping cough, diphtheria, German measles, mumps, and other childhood diseases are always told "the benefits exceed the risks." So how can they estimate the benefits?
What Every Parent Should Know about Childhood Immunization will tell you much more about the risks than your pediatrician wants you to know. Now you can make up your own mind about exposing your child to this untested procedure."----Harris L. Coulter, Ph. D., coauthor (with Barbara Loe Fisher) of DPT: A Shot in the Dark --Back jacket of the book, What Every Parent Should Know about Childhood Immunization

Excellent resource for all Parents,Educators,Doctors!
The whole immunization issue is so one sided. This book finally gives the other perspective, in an easy to read format. From an educator, and parent's standpoint the book is convincing that immunizing your child is not the only way. No one can force you to immunize your child if you have a belief it's not right. Read this book and finally become educated, confident and informed!
what everyparent should know...
When I was pregnant with my first baby I knew that I didn't want to immunize any of my children. Up until I read this book I had really no "proof" that my confictions were correct. Thanks to this book, I began a serious investigation into immunizations. I now have tangible info to share with pro-vaccine parents. It only takes one light in a dark world to bring truth!
