Do you ever feel like your life is moving at the speed of light? Are you constantly trying to keep up with all of your commitments and responsibilities? In this day and age when modern communication and technology cause our lives to move faster than ever, many people struggle to strike a balance between all the segments of their lives -- family, friends, career, social obligations, and self.
As co-pastor of Lakewood Church -- America's largest church -- Victoria Osteen understands intimately how day-to-day responsibilities can pile up and at times feel overwhelming. As a wife and mother, she sets the tone for her household and acts as a role model for her family. As a minister, she reaches out to an enormous community of people who look to her for guidance, strength, wisdom, and encouragement. She knows as well as anyone that operating in so many different roles can be extremely demanding, yet she has managed to find balance, living her life in the unforced rhythms of grace. If you ask her, she'll tell you that she loves her life and she wants you to love your life, too.
No matter where you are in your life, no matter what responsibilities you may carry, you can find peace, balance, and enjoyment in every area of your life; but it all starts with you. You have more power inside you than you realize; all you have to do is learn to tap into what you already have! As you begin to recognize your own abilities and influence, and use them in healthy ways, all the other areas of your life will fall into order.
In Love Your Life, Victoria shares from her personal life experiences and her journey of faith the lessons she's learned that have made her the woman she is today. As you read, you'll feel like you're in a conversation with a trusted friend as Victoria shows you how to tap into all that God has given you to live effectively -- as a positive influence on the world around you. You'll be inspired by stories of victory and challenged to live at a higher level. You'll read about people who have accomplished incredible things by overcoming their fears, and people who have changed the world around them by simply recognizing their own value.
A life well lived does not come easily; you have to set out for it, look for it, and make it happen. Love Your Life shows how to turn the challenges of each day into opportunities to love and appreciate all that you are.

An Interview with Victoria Osteen
Q: What inspired you to write the book and how did you come to the title?A: I founded the women’s ministry here at Lakewood Church which now has several hundred women. It was through conversations with these women about the issues that were important to them where I discovered we all share many of the same concerns and issues. I wrote the book in order to address those issues. The title, Love Your Life just came to me one day.
Q: What motivates you in your work on a daily basis?
A: I see how God is using this ministry to touch people all over the world. We get thousands of letters and emails from people whose lives have been changed, who have found hope in the midst of adversity, and who are inspired to keep rising higher in their everyday life.
Q: You have inspired so many people with your message. Who has inspired you the most?
A: My parents and my husband have been my greatest inspiration. I have always been blessed in this way. My parents not only instilled faith in me but they taught me the importance of family as well. Joel inspires me on a daily basis. He lives such a life of mercy, compassion and integrity.
Q: How do you think life has changed for your children vs. how things were for you when you grew up?
A: Actually, things are not that different. My family was very close to one another just as we are today. Perhaps, the biggest difference might be that my kids live near all of their cousins, aunts and uncles while I grew up several hundred miles from mine. My kids are able to interact with their extended family on a daily basis and I think that is great. Growing up, I would have liked to see my cousins as much as my kids get to see theirs.
Q: Does your full schedule allow you some quality time by yourself? What is your favorite way to relax?
A: I enjoy exercising and reading. But my favorite way to relax is to just hang out with Joel and the kids. We laugh and have great fun together.

I wrote this book in the hope that it will help you to achieve new levels in your life and to discover the treasures, gifts, and abilities within you that are just waiting to be uncovered. In the pages ahead, I want to share some foundational truths that will help you realize the depth of these valuable treasures you carry.
As co-pastor of Lakewood Church, I've had the incredible opportunity to meet so many women who share stories about their lives with me. We talk about their families, their careers, their good times and bad, and of course their relationship with God. Through many conversations I have found that although most of these women are doing good and important things in their lives, they often feel overwhelmed -- emotionally, physically, and spiritually.
At a time when the pressures of the modern family are complicated by the pressures of the modern world, we often struggle to find a healthy balance between career, family, and relationships. But even in the midst of all the hustle and busyness, you can find fulfillment and achieve happiness -- you can Love Your Life!
So what does it mean, to Love Your Life? When most people reach the twilight of their lives, they will tell you it's not about having a bigger house or a better job, or about the car they drove or the clothes they wore. They will tell you it was all about investing in themselves and their relationships with other people. How many times have we heard people say with regret, "If only I would have taken better care of myself...if only I would have spent more time with my family and the people I love."
That doesn't have to be you. Loving your life is being willing to make changes, to let go of old ways and unhealthy habits so that you can be the best you can be. It's about having the right perspective and understanding the value of who you are and what you have.
It's learning to love others and learning to love yourself so that you can get more out of your relationships. It's about recognizing the gifts that God has given you and making the most of those gifts.
Ultimately, loving your life is about discovering the greatness that's inside of you and the influence you have on the world around you. You will be amazed at the impact you will have when you tap into those treasures within.
No matter where you are today, you have the potential to have better relationships, to increase in confidence, to overcome obstacles, and to celebrate the life God has given you. Perhaps some unfair things have happened in your past, but those things don't define you and they don't determine your future. It's not what happens to you that matters most, it's what happens in you. You don't have to let your experiences draw confidence from you; instead you can draw confidence from your experiences. Be encouraged today because there is so much more in you that is waiting to be discovered. There are new options for your future, and opportunities to be recovered. Now is the time to leave the past behind and make room to embrace the destiny that lies ahead for you.
Let this book help you to see your life with a fresh new perspective: to see beyond where you are right now and to Love Your Life in ways you never thought possible!

Love, Hope and Encouragement for Life
Love your Life is a book writen in love, hope and compassion. It appears to me that Victoria wrote this book with the intent to help people improve their lives. The book feels like she is talking to you openly and trying to help you with life's challenges.
Victoria is an encourager and she discusses the importance of encouraging ourselves and others. She also encourages her readers to celebrate their successes big and small and celebrate other peoples successes with them.
Some readers may learn a different way of looking at things. Everyone has unfair things that happen to them in their lives, and some people have more than others. The question is how can we deal with these bad things that happen and overcome them and live life fully and whole? Afterall, the challenges of today bring the opportunities of tomorrow.
This book could be especially good for people (male or female) who feel inside themselves that they have to be perfect to be loved, or that they are unloveable or unworthy no matter what they do. We are each God's perfect creation and he loves us. God knows we are not perfect and he loves us despite our faults and our nature to sin. We are called to love our neighbor as ourself, but, if we do not love ourself than how much could we possibly love our neighbor? We must love ourselves before we can truly love others. Victoria guides the reader on a path of understanding that each person is important and has value.
Victoria attempts to bring each reader to a place of God's love, hope, healing, freedom and peace in their lives. Victoria's advice is sound bibical advice and I believe that Christians and non Christians could bennefit from this book depending on the persons openness.
At the end of each chapter she lists her main points as a quick referance e.g.;
"I will focus on what I have and not what I don't have. I will dwell on what's right in my life and magnify the good."
Depending on where you are in your life you may want to also look at the following books which are writen by different authors, and varying writing styles, but, address God's love for his people: Joyce Meyer's Battlefield of the Mind, William P. Young's The Shack and Francine Rivers Redeeming Love (novel). Happy reading.
Makes you LOVE your precious life!
Wonderful inspiration to all! I cannot believe there are only 15 reviews at the time I am typing this. I really pray that more people would read this book and appreciate it as much as I do. This book has really helped in my personal growth and in becoming closer to God. Definitely feel more positive and have a brighter outlook on life! Thank you, Victoria! Wish I could give her a big hug for all the work she put into this book, for her positive influence on others and for all the unselfish ways she and Joel reach out to many :-)
