Customer Reviews
Good for the money.
This is a pretty good quality pack for the money. It looks good and feels well built. The height adjustment is a little tricky to adjust until you get used to it. It uses velcro panels to hold itself in place (plus a locking strap to secure it once it's adjusted) and you need to pull them both out to be able to adjust it up or down. It was very comfortable to wear over the course of my very first 2 day backpacking trip. My only real complaint with this pack is that one of the accessory loops on the bottom of the pack which was securing my tent to the outside of the pack ripped about 3 hours into the first day, which required me to figure out another way to carry my tent. Fortunately there are plenty of extra loops/pockets to hold things and clip thing on with and I was able to use those to secure my tent to the pack. So you do get what you pay for but this is probably one of the better packs out there in this price range.
very pleased
I took this pack on my first backpacking trip up Mt Shasta. I am 5'2" and 115 lbs. I put 40 lbs in the pack and it was still reasonable for me to hike with. This is my very first packpack so I don't have anything to compare it with. but by the end of the trip I felt like it had formed to my back, or maybe I formed to it?..... The little pockets on the side are great for things you need to access during the hike and I clipped a helmet and ice axe to the outside loops. There are also straps on the side that I clipped my water bottles to, this made my water easy to reach. It does have a pocket for the hidration system but it does not come with a bladder. The pack also has a space open in the middle of your back for ventilation but it doesn't interfere with the balance
Things I didn't like. It does not have a detachable daypack.... And there isn't a seperate compartment for the sleeing bag, but it does have a zipper at the bottem for access. I ended up putting my heavy things at the very bottem next to the frame, because of where the pack sat on my back it made the load more stable.
Over all I was pleased with it and I plan to use it many more times.
This is the best pack for the money
This pack is perfect for a 3 day hike. It hold all of my gear and is very comfortable. I tried to compare this pack to others but all of the packs I have seen of this quality start at over 100 bucks each. I can't believe that this high quality pack only cost 20 dollars more than my sons book bag for school.
