Average customer review:Product Description
Now updated and reorganized, Alan Shapiro's Foundations of Multinational Financial Management, 6/e emphasizes broad concepts and practices, and provides a clear conceptual framework for analyzing key financial decisions in multinational firms. The text treats international financial management as a natural and logical extension of the principles learned in the foundations course in financial management. Thus, it builds on and extends the valuation framework provided by domestic corporate finance to account for dimensions unique to international finance.
Shapiro 6e is primarily intended for an undergraduate audience; but it is suitable for use in masters-level courses when there is not time to cover the full range of topics. This text assumes no prior knowledge of international finance.

Editorial Reviews
From the Publisher
The approach of this text treats international financial management as a natural and logical extension of the principles learned in the foundations course in financial management. Thus, the book focuses on decision making in an international context. Numerous examples, both numerical and institutional, illustrate the application of these concepts and techniques. The emphasis throughout is on taking advantage of being multinational. This book is distinctly different from Shapiro's other texts, Multinational Financial Management, 4/e, in that the chapters are shorter and simpler, have more examples, and are less technical because of its reduction and/or elimination of the mathematics used.

Customer Reviews
Great book
Although this book is used in grad courses, an undergrad student who wants to see how financial markets work with an economic analysis, this will be the right option.
Can be confusing, major focus on economics
This textbook may not be a good choice for undergraduate students or for someone who does not have an intermediate or higher knowledge of finance. Wording in the chapters and in the end of chapter problems can be confusing. Statements are made and then not backed up with supporting information. The book spends a large amount of time on a macroeconomic view.
perfect
