Customer Reviews

Great 3-1 lego set. Many useful parts 5
The best thing about this Lego set is that the parts provided are very versatile and can be used to build many things, not just the 3 models for which their are instructions. Each model is pretty nice, but the jet fighter with articulating wings is the highlight. The helicopter does not use all the parts, and the hovercraft isn't as cool as a flying machine!

Legos are meant to be used to build creations from a child's imagination, not stay in a static model. Build the models, have fun with them, but don't consider them the only possibility. Legos are to inspire the creative, engineering spirit of the child playing with them. Following instructions and building the model is great, but building thinking skills and learning to problem solve by making something without a design is even better.

Ingenious design4
This F-14 copy is an ingenious design. It is not perfect and, like many Lego sets, it does fall apart every now and then with rough play. But for its original MSRP, it was a great deal. This set came out in 2006 and as of late 2008 it was still available directly from Lego and at major retailers. As supplies dry up, prices are likely to go well above MSRP (which you can check at Brickset or Peeron). When they do, you might wish to consider some of the forthcoming Creator sets; there will be at least one aircraft (#6745) for 2009.

excellent5
My 8 yr old son loves this toy. He has put them together and had no trouble with things falling apart. Plane "totally cool" (he really likes the working landing gear), hovercraft "also cool" and it goes "very fast on the floor too."
