Very well thought out cables
Perfect cables for organizing a desktop. Nicely made, the jacket feels smooth like silicon but is harder. The electrical part looks like every other firewire 800 cable I've seen. These cables are light so they won't put a strain on the jacks. The labels are a nice plus. I bought three of these and I was able to label all of them before plugging them in. Makes it much easier when running cables through holes in a desktop or hutch.

They come with a blank label on one side of the connector, and a package with 24 more labels, 20 preprinted and four blank. I'd suggest applying labels to the side that doesn't have a label. The adhesive on these is permanent. If you apply one to the label that's already on the connector, in a minute or so the backing will tear if you try to remove it.

According to the package they're 1.2 meter long or 3.94 feet. I don't know why Amazon kept it a secret. Maybe the person writing the descriptions never had to hook anything up.

Oh! And they're very orange!

Although I don't have the technology to benchmark this cable's specs vs other firewire 800 cables, I can tell you the flat design is brilliant for keeping things neat and untangled. I love the Orange color, as it helps me to quickly see what cable is what. I wish there were more color options available. I will be picking up some more of these.

Great design
The cable is flat, can be rolled into a coil easily. It is bright orange.

The package comes with a velcro ribbon for cable organization, and a sheet of stickers to label the ends of the cable.

If you can get this overall more thoughtful design in a package without paying more, why choose something else?
