Please note that any tiny brown specks found at the bottom of Nutiva's coconut oil are from the coconut fiber and are indigenous to extra-virgin coconut oil. It is deliciously healthy cooking oil. Better than butter and are USDA organic. Unrefined with no trans fats, rich in lauric acid.

Great Product
I love the smell of this product. I have tried other coconut oils, and they are not the quality of Nutiva. You can use this for so many things. It is a great, light-weight moisturizer. I also love to put it on my hair. It adds a great taste to smoothies, and I have also used it to cook with. This is a very versatile product. I love it.

Update! Clean coconut product, use outside now only, lower stars to 3
Update July 2009:
I promised myself that I would stop eating this product if my cholesterol went up - and it raised up from 220 to 238. I stopped eating it, started on niacin but no other meds, and retook the blood test after only 3 months and my total cholesterol was below 200. I love the taste but cannot deny the science. I will continue to use it on my body, though, great product for that use. I miss it.....

I love this product. It smells and tastes extremely fresh. I eat a couple tablespoons a day and I also use it as a moisturizer for my body. It does an excellent job clearing up redness and annoying bumps on my upper arms and chest and has smoothed out my elbows. Much better than any other product that I have ever tried, prescription or not. It does a great job on my rosacea and I have only had to supplement with Metrogel for a couple days in the past few months when I was dealing with more stress than usual. I do have to supplement with a face moisturizer for my cheeks, but I wouldn't do without this product. I have it on subscription order so that I never run out.

Great Taste and Smell
I love the taste and smell of this product. However, I wish it came in a glass jar rather than a *cheap* plastic that may be leaching in the product.
