Headphone jack does not stay in the female receptacle1
I bought this adapter to allow me to use my iPhone with different headphones and also allow me to use the iPhone in my car with my car's AUX in.
Pros: The unit does extend all four connectors (Left, Right, Mic, Ground/-) so that you can use your iPhone headphones Mic or other headphones that have a mic in them.
Cons: After about a week the dongle/adapter would not keep any male headphone jack in the dongles female receptacle. The male plug on the dongle is fine and stays in the iPhone perfectly, but you literally have to hold your headphone's male jack into the dongle's female receptacle making the adapter useless. I would look elsewhere for a different product.

So far it works perfectly but I can see what Ryan Prosser (the other reviewer) was saying. The headphone jack seems loose on the female end of this adapter. It is not yet loose enough to be a problem like the one Ryan got (so far).

Served it's Purpose.3
I hate having to even buy an attachment just to put headphones in my iPhone... sure Apple is the "king of design" but they constantly screw their loyal customers with crap like this. This item was cheap enough and served it's purpose... but screw Apple for making me have to buy it to begin with.
