Using his background in history, politics and urban planning, he has crafted adventure stories filled with romance, humor, and a unique sense of historical philosophy. He lives with his wife, Kwei-lin Lum, a paperdoll artist who also creates Waters of the Moon book covers. They live in Tarzana, California.
