There is no such thing as a money problem in marriage.
Financial expert Ron Blue and his wife, Judy, insist that marital problems are never about money. But they're often about communication, particularly when it comes to the thorny issue of finances. Marriage after broken marriage testifies to just how charged the topic of money can be, and how important it is for husbands and wives to know how to discuss it with one another.
In Money Talks and So Can We, the Blues help you and your mate communicate openly and honestly about the vital topic of managing your money. This is not just a book on family financial planning. It's about how to operate as a team, overcoming your individual weaknesses and uniting your strengths to cultivate vision and prosperity in your marriage.
In Part One, the Blues help you bridge the financial communication gap. You'll consider the purpose of money and marriage, get a crash course on effective communication, and learn how to put together a truly enjoyable planning weekend.
In Part Two, you'll learn how to combine your efforts to handle some essential monetary priorities, from the basics of developing a budget, to getting out of debt, to investing wisely, to creating a will, to the pros and cons of a dual-income household, to the challenges and rewards of giving, and more.
Money Talks and So Can We will help you and your mate work as partners on the critical area of finances. Together, you can sow the seeds of security for your future, and enjoy today the benefits not only of financial stability, but of deepened trust and fruitfulness in your marriage
From the Publisher
Half of all marriages end in divorce, and eighty percent of those break-ups are related to money problems. But what looks like a money problem may actually be a communication problem. In Money Talks and So Can We, Ron and Judy Blue offer a framework through which couples can successfully communicate about their finances. By specifically addressing some of the most common conflicts, this book provides practical advice and valuable tools couples can use to strengthen their marriages and secure their financial future. Conflict in marriage comes for many reasons--and when you mix in the subject of money, it's not hard to reach the boiling point. Ron and Judy tackle most of the specific problems that couples encounter, offering solutions that will help couples meet one another's needs, encourage communication, and provide practical financial tools and strategies for solving the part of the problem that involves money. Everyday strategies for communication will help couples pay the bills without arguing, plan for the future, schedule regular time together and make the most of it, and discuss other important decisions including children, jobs, and church involvement. Whether a couple is just beginning their marriage or have been together for many years, Money Talks and So Can We makes sense of the dollars-and-cents part of being together.

Customer Reviews
One of the best
Hard for me to belive that anyone could "hate" this book. Apparently uncomfortable with the Christian message, but it's not written to make people comfortable. My wife and I loved this book and have referred back to its wisdom many times. Could not recommend it more highly to couples. It will strengthen your marriage.
Pearls to Believers
This an excellent book for couples to work through the challenges that money and marriage usually bring. Especially helpful in developing a purpose for your marriage for those believing couples that want to not only grow in their marriage but in their walk with the Lord.
Useful questionnaire included to inspire communication on various levels and subjects.
God! This was terrible
This book was a big disappointment. It turned out to be a Christian-based approach to money management that was not mentioned in the editorial. I hated it.
