Amazon.com Product Description
For reliably clean floors including sealed hardwood, tile, and linoleum, this award-winning floor-washing robot can handle up to 500 square feet on a single battery charge. Its four-stage cleaning process includes the prep stage, which picks up dirt, sand, and crumbs; the washing stage, which uses only clean solution (mops just spread around dirty water); the scrubbing stage, which removes dirt, grime, and stuck-on messes; and the drying stage, which squeegee lifts dirty water from floors. The cleaning machine uses clean tap water, a water and vinegar mixture, or deep-cleaning, fresh-scented Clorox Scooba cleaning solution. In addition, it avoids carpets, rugs, ledges, and stairs thanks to its cliff-sensing technology. The unit conveniently self navigates throughout each room cleaning beneath cabinet edges, tables, chairs, and other hard-to-reach places. The robot's autonomous cleaning pattern covers each area of floor an average of five times, and one full tank washes up to 250 square feet before it requires refilling. Accessories include one 8-ounce bottle of Clorox Scooba cleaning solution, a measuring cup, a suction bulb (to prep and maintain the pump), an APS battery, a power supply and charging base, a storage mat, and an owner's guide. One Virtual Wall also comes included to mark off-limit areas with an infrared beam that the robot will not cross (requires two D batteries, not included). The floor-washing robot measures 14-3/4 by 14-3/4 by 3-1/2 inches and carries a one-year warranty.

Customer Reviews

Does the job, but leaves some touch-up work4
well, it works, that's the good news. The tank full of dirty water is proof that it's doing the job. The bad news is that it doesn't do corners, and if you have a lot of dust (say, pet hair) you're probably best off doing some vaccuming first because it doesn't deal well with light things like hair that blow around instead of being trapped under the robot.

In short:
Pros:
1. It gets the floor clean
2. It works well w/vineagar, which is good news for those who prefer natural cleaning things intead of chemicals
3. it's pretty easy to clean up - just empty the tank, pop the brush and the filter and run them under the tap.
4. It leaves the floor reasonably dry.

Cons:
1. You'll go absolutely batty if you hang around and try to watch it work. It almost invariably does what i consider the wrong thing (like going the wrong way or going straight when it should be spiralling). save yourself the hassle - walk away and come back to a clean floor. It eventually does the job, and who cares if it takes more time? it's the robot's time, not yours.
2. it doesn't do corners. problem.
3. Occasionally the cycle has stopped in the middle (i think i had a dirty tank).
4. it's loud. really, really loud.
5. would be nice if it could handle more than 12' by 12' on 1 tank.

Overall, good product, if a little pricey (i bought it refurbished and have had no problems...)

SCOOBA NEEDS TO GET SMARTER3
During the time I am writing this, my Scooba has ended up stuck on my floor heating grate FOUR TIMES!! Does this thing ever learn? It can - obviously - not be left alone, just like a child. Scooba has also managed to get itself stuck under my kitchen kabinets over and over. As far as I know, our kitchen kabinets are standard height from the floor. Why does Scooba then get stuck under them over and over? If I have to supervise it the whole time, I cannot say that it frees up time for me. Scooba does not get a passing grade from me, I am sorry to say. I am the happy owner of a Roomba, which I absolutely adore!

IT'S GREAT IF YOUR HOUSE IS ALREADY CLEAN1
IF YOU HAVE NO CHILDREN OR DOGS THIS PRODUCT WOULD BE GREAT FOR YOU.
HOWEVER IF YOU'RE BUYING IT TO ACCTUALLY CLEAN DIRTY FLOORS I WOULDN'T.
AFTER USEING IT ONE TIME I KNOW I AM GOING TO RETURN IT.
