Born in Rome into a working-class family, hunky Italian pop idol Eros Ramazzotti first made his mark following a move to Milano in the mid-eighties. His career really took off in 1984, after he won the category of "New Voice" at the influential San Remo Festival for his song Terra Promessa. As a singer-songwriter, he specializes in sweeping, passionate ballads and large-scale power-rock numbers and has racked up an impressive array of duets with other international favorites like Celine Dion, Cher, Portugese neo-fado sensation Dulce Pontes, Tina Turner and crossover mega-star Andrea Bocelli. A canny self-marketer with huge European following, especially in Germany, Ramazzotti records each of his albums in both his native tongue and in Spanish, a technique that has made him enormously popular in Central and South America. The voice, a polished yet endearingly up-front tenor, wrenches every drop of emotion from his lyrics, which tend toward the florid side. But if the man undeniably knows the meaning of a good hook, his songs are nonetheless anchored by an essential vulnerability that makes his work extremely appealing. --Christina Roden

Eros at his Best!!
This new Album is a stellar representation of the true Classic Eros. He forever remains the definition of optimism and happiness in the italian language. This last CD is so happy, light and hopeful. All the tracks are amazing.
One of his best Albums
By looking at this CD means that most probably you are aware of Italian music or have at least heard a song or two from Eros Ramazzotti. As this CD goes, in my humble opinion it is definitely one of his best, maybe a close second to his other album `EROS'. As for song eleven, `I Belong to you (Il Ritmo della Passione)' with Anastacia, is one of the best ballads I have ever heared. Most of the songs are simply beautiful and proofs why Eros is so well known in the international music scene.
To sum up, this album is highly recommended!!!
Eros won me over
My first album of Eros Ramazzotti and what a way to an introduction. I am not familiar of his previous albums, but this album is a great album. This to me is the epitome of good pop writing. It has hooks and melody all over the album. The production is a 5 star. World class musicians play on this album and it shows it excellence. I think that Eros' voice is very unique. It took me a while to get used to it, but in the end he won me over. This album has an Elton John feel writing wise in the slow songs even in the acoustic guitar dominated tunes. Maybe that is just me, but it's an album with full of emotions. Even songs that I wasn't crazy on "Uno Nuovo Eta." It had this modern R&B element going on, but the chorus has a beautiful melody that made me forget the verses. Atleast the R&B approach was more Brian McKnight versus a producer like Timbeland where the beats are scattered in incomprehensive patterns. "I Belong To You" duet took me a while to like. I thought the simplitic pop lyrics like "I love you" and feel of the song was a typical duet, but it also won me over in the end. The reason it won me over was because the progression of chords of this song(very Elton Jon like)was a bit different than those usual pop duets, so it made the whole melody unpredictable in a good way. Then the two different languages made it unique, but it could also very easily be considered cheesy as well. As for the other songs there is not much to say. They are all excellent. I give this album 4 and a half star out of 5. It is one of my favorite albums I have bought this year. It won me over.
