Combining a proven technique with an effective and easy-to-use supplements package, Ear Training: A Technique for Listening is the ideal text for college aural skills courses. Its logical progression in the coverage of skills enables students to build gradually to full proficiency, while ensuring that material they learn early in the course remains fresh. Its flexibility makes it equally effective in a lab-based course, in a instructor-guided setting, or in a course that combines the two.

Customer Reviews
Arent you supposed to be training your ear?
Now if you are looking for products to train your ear, then this is not it. Unless your aural skills professor requires this book for your class it is a terrible choice. I have a fantastic ear and my professor asked the class to order this book just so we would realize it is terrible. First off, in all the recordings the old guy has a terrible and annoying accent before all the recordings. They do not count you off before they start the recording. It is just random. The piano is not in tune and the performer does not keep tempo. There are much better products and this is definately not good for the price. Terrible book. I wont even resell it because it is so horrid. Save your ears from this deafening book while you still can.
Give yourself the edge in hearing music
All students, instructors, performers and producers of music MUST give this book a chance. A great opportunity to train your ear in a way you never knew was possible. I grew up with an excellent ear for music, and this book challanges me. Great for beginners to advanced.
