My Favorite Thesaurus
I am surprised The Bantam Roget's Thesaurus has yet to recieve a single review on this site.

After having tried out several different Thesauruses -- including JI Rodales' lengthy and rather popular Synonym Finder -- I settled on this one for my regular day to day use. In one compact easy to flip through 800 page colume, it offers a decent but not exhaustive number of synonyms per entry, and it lists synonyms in order of relevance / common use (and not alphabetical order).

In my opinion, compared to the other thesaurasus I have used, Bantam Roget's Thesaurus clearly contains better quality and better organized synonym lists; and although it certainly does not contain as many entries or synonyms as some of the thicker volumes, I by all means prefer its streamlined format.

And, if that was not enough, Bantam Roget's Thesaurus also lists antonyms for its adjective entries.
