Customer Reviews

A good buy4
I purchased this item by recommendation of my voice teacher, and have been pleased with it. The CD is at times a little hard to follow along with only because of the interpretation of the performer. Once you learn where their hidden ritardandos and other little "personality" inputs are, it is a pleasure to sing to.

The music itself is very pretty, although I enjoy the "10 Christmas Songs for Solo Voice" by the same arranger even more. This book and CD has it's simple moments along with it's majestic moments, so it's a nice range of mood. The sheetmusic is written only for piano, and the CD is just piano music. There are no samples of how to sing the songs.

The lowest note that you sing out of any of the songs is an "A" below middle "C" and the highest not is an "F" at an octave and a half above middle "C". There are alternative notes added in the music if either of these are too low or too high, but overall there is a range of almost two octaves.

I would recommend this item. It is perhaps priced a little high, but considering the hours of pleasure that I have had with it, I would say it's worth it. I also recommend very highly the Christmas version of this.
