About the Author
Dan Erlewine began playing guitars--and tearing them apart--in 1960, and never stopped. Now a leading guitar builder and repairman, Dan’s creations include Albert King’s famous inlaid "Flying V" guitar, and a custom model for Jerry Garcia. very informative
the book was very informative. It may have tried to cover too many types of guitars. If I had glanced through it before i purchased it I would not have bought it. However since i have bought it I have read through it and learned a great deal about how to setup a gibson semihollow archtop.I t covers many different types including some pretty rare(obscure) guitars.

Lower Bout
In all due respect to the reviewer about terminology. One only needs to type in the word on a Google search to find the answer. Thus, lower bout is the extended part below the waist of the guitar. The upper bout being the body part closest to the neck or fretboard.

Read ASAP (Don't Wait Too Long Like Me)
I was about 5- to 7-years-old when I watched Dan Erlewine and his band, The Prime Movers, rehearse in my basement and across the street in my neighbors' living room. Then, in 1969 at age 8, I started playing guitar and haven't stopped. Finally in April 2008, I bought Dan's books, "Guitar Player Repair Guide" and "How to Make Your Electric Guitar Play Great." Wish I'd had this information 30 years ago.
