Customer Reviews

Very Good Book5
This book lets you hear from the people who crafted the music we all listen to. They talk about being in the studio and how and why they do what they do. No, it's not super technical. It talks from a higher plane; The Creative Process. The forward by George Massenburg is worth the price alone. A great book for people who are just interested in music and the creative process in the studio as well as those thinking about a career in the music industry. There is talk of where the music business is going or has gone. There are the older classic guys(think Michael Jackson and Ronnie Spector) and the new guns (think Amy Winehouse). All in all.....a great read!

Excellent5
Excellent book. Would have appreciated a bit more tech, but still excellent. Read the first volume several times and this one measures up to Volume 1 very well. Looking forward to the next installment.

Production Magic5
This book has amazing stories from top producers. I recommend it to anyone who wants to learn about record production and is interested in how the older generations are doing it.
