Great Arrangements!5
Mark Hayes has created some wonderful arrangements for these spirituals. Very tasteful -- not cheesy like some arrangements can be. The piano parts are often rich and jazzy. As a bass with a good baritone high end, I have no trouble singing in the range that these have been set. Make sure to get the book with CD. The CD has just the piano accompaniment -- perfect.

I bought this book along with Mark Hayes' "7 Songs and Spiritual Songs". The other book is good, but with more of a show tune sound. I prefer this book.
