good but inferior to the DVD
good if you like a follow-along to his DVD or you like books more. I prefer the DVD lesson though. THere's some good practice exercises in here. As for the music- JP's a good guitarist but his style is waaay to jazzy for my taste.

Excelente Instruccional
Recomendado para personas de nivel novato/intermedio. Como opcion se debe comprar el DVD para mejor perspectiva de los ejercicios de calentamiento y entrenamiento.

De todas formas este manual trae los detalles y es bien completo.

Lots of great speed drills
The lessons are OK. Some of them are pretty elementary, some of them only scratch the surface. The organization of the lessons could use a little work: there is no clear indication as to what "area" each exercise should go into. However, if you just used the examples in the book as speed drills, it would be well worth the money for that! There are many examples and the are varied enough to provide a well rounded repository of technique exercises.
